17th March 2019 - Rotary Swimarathon

The Rotary Club of Bury St Edmunds held their annual Swimarathon at Abbeycroft Leisure Centre and we entered a team, "Little Flippers", of super-swimmers who managed to swim more lengths than any other team in our session.  Supported, as always, by our chief penguin.  :-)

Together the team raised an incredible £1449.50.  Well done team, and thank you for your fantastic support!!

1st Dec 2018 - Breckland Wind Ensemble

A big thank you to the Breckland Wind Ensemble who kindly donated £126.75 from funds raised at their "Music to welcome in the Christmas Season" performance.

18th Nov 2018 - Riverwalk - Nearly-new Sale

WSRAP committee member, Hollie, organised an incredible sale event.  Parents, staff and friends of Riverwalk donated loads of fantastic nearly new items, baked cakes and supported what turned out to be a bargain hunter's dream come true.  So much was donated that we were able to raise £900!  Children's toys were especially popular so if you're having a post-Christmas declutter please donate your toys to us for our next sale event.  We'll sell them, raising money for the pool and saving waste!  If you have anything to donate please get in touch.

To all those that helped in anyway, thank you for such a great event.

20th Oct 2018 - Red Lodge - Family Fun Day

An enormous THANK YOU and WELL DONE to Samantini Potter and Family for organising such an amazing afternoon at the Sports Pavilion in Red Lodge.  With fantastic support from the local community over 100 people attended and enjoyed a afternoon's fun in the sun.  Magician, Balloon Modeller, Bouncy Castle, BBQ and games, everyone had a brilliant afternoon, especially all the children.

Thanks to the generosity of all those that kindly supported this event an incredible £603 was raised.  Thank you ALL.

9th Aug 2018 - Our New Logo Launched!

We're thrilled to launch our fantastic new logos.  The children of Riverwalk School took part in our competition to design a logo for our charity.  We choose the theme of penguins because they, like many of those we are working to provide facilities for, are perhaps a little wobbly on land but truly free of restrictions when in water.  We selected three winning penguins, which together make up our logos and hope you love them and what they represent as much as we do.

1st Aug 2018 - Waitrose Community Matters

WSRAP was one of three charities in the Bury Waitrose July "Community Matters" green token scheme.  Shoppers are given a green token to place in a voting box for their chosen group, with each being awarded a share of £1000.  Thank you to everyone who put their token in the WSRAP box and to Waitrose for donating £308.
